With 25.000 variations, the orchid family is one of the largest plant families on earth. The phalaenopsis orchid is the most common one. And even this variety is available in many different shapes and colors! There are flowers in solid colors, stripes, speckles, spots or a color gradient. You probably know the orchid in one color. Simple, but that doesn’t make it less beautiful! It’s extra nice to place it in front of a wall in a contrasting color:
Then there’s the orchid that has two colors, the lip and petals come in a different color:
The phalaenopsis also comes in a speckled version. It looks like there are a lot of mini splashes of paint on it!
