Christmas is the time to shine in the kitchen and spoil your guests with a delicious meal. With the holidays coming up I start looking for some recipe inspiration. These Instagrammers inspired me by cooking with flowers. It will probably be the most blooming diner ever.

Morning craving: this breakfast bowl from @tastyasheck. How insanely gorgeous is this?? The downside of being a food blogger who has been making thanksgiving recipes for 2+ weeks now: The holiday hasn't even started yet and I'm already ready for some fresh, lighter food (although I know I'll feel differently when I get a whiff of stuffing).

My most liked picture of 2015 was this healthy lavender honey cake I made for my future sister-in-law's birthday (the recipe's on the blog, if you're interested – just search "cake"). Thank you all for an amazing 2015 – I've had the best time creating new recipes and sharing them with you, talking with you all and getting to know you. There's such an amazing community here and I'm so grateful for each and every one of you. Excited for 2016!

There's nothing more that I love than the change of seasons, bringing new ingredients for us all to enjoy and look forward to every time. Whilst I love the summer sun, heat and being able to make cakes like this courgette, basil, lime and pistachio cake, the season's over now… I can look forward to making it again next year and in the meantime enjoy all the wonderful produce we have now like #Quince #Apples #Pears #Clementines #Carrots #Beetroot #Parsnips and more! #EatingTheSeasons and #Local is cheaper, better for us and most of all, it tastes so much better too!
