With this hot summer weather, everyone is looking for some refreshment, including us. That’s why we came up with the idea of making ice cubes and water ice cream with edible flowers. Ideal for in a glass of lemonade or a cocktail! It’s refreshing, looks nice and is also fun to make. In this article we’ll explain how you can make them.

Necessities

For the ice cubes:

  • Ice cube mold
  • Edible flowers
  • Water

For the water ice cream:

  • 6 ice cream tins
  • Coconut water
  • 1 blood orange, cut into pieces
  • 1 mango, cut into pieces
  • 1 lemon zest + the juice
  • 1 vanilla pod
  • Honey or agave

Making ice cubes and water ice cream with edible flowers

Ice cubes with edible flowers

This is the easiest DIY ever. Make ice cubes the way you always do, but now add edible flowers to the water. The result is: beautiful ice cubes through which you can see the colorful flowers.

Water ice cream with edible flowers

Put the vanilla seeds from the pod together with the lemon zest in a measuring cup. Pour in the coconut water and lemon juice, and stir. Taste, and add honey or agave to taste. Divide the orange, mango and edible flowers over the ice cream tins. Pour the coconut water mixture on top, place the lid on the molds and put them in the freezer for at least 3 hours.
