How to make tropical vases

Start by choosing a suitable piece of fruit. Place it on its side and cut off about 5 cm from the top. Then remove all the fruit on the inside with a spoon and knife. We don’t need this, so use it for example for a fruit salad.

When the piece of fruit is completely empty inside, the ‘vase’ is finished. Have a look at which flowers and greenery you want to put in and cut them off at the bottom so that they fit nicely. Repeat this with the other pieces of fruit. Then place the tropical vases in a nice place and you’re done!

Remember that you use real fruit, so the vases won’t stay beautiful for long. This is really meant for a one time use, such as a party. Afterwards you can of course put the flowers in a real vase, so that you can enjoy them a little longer.
