This is so impressive! Flowers brought art to life at the National Gallery London from 2 till 6 june 2016.
In response to the exhibition the National Gallery’s ‘Dutch Flowers’ exhibition funnyhowflowersdothat.co.uk and The Flower Counsil Holland gathered 30 florist to create a floral masterpiece of epic proportions: 6.2 metres tall and 4.6 metres wide. The florist turned into artist for a couple of days and they brought the painting “A Still Life of Flowers in a Wan-Li Vase (1609-10)” by Ambrosius Bosschaert to life with real flowers. A Whopping 26,430 stems of 26 different varieties of flowers were featured, including six tulip varieties, four varieties of peonies, three varieties of carnations, six varieties of freesias, six varieties of calla lily, and five varieties of roses in 37 different colours.
